Frequently asked

Who provides the cab? Does Slizy run vehicles?

No — Slizy never operates vehicles. The host books their own auto or cab the way they always do (Uber, Ola, Rapido, Namma Yatri, or a street hail) and posts the ride on Slizy. Slizy fills the empty seats in that booking and splits the fare; the vehicle, the driver, and the booking stay the host's.

How is my share of the fare calculated?

You pay only for the stretch you actually ride. Your share is proportional to the fraction of the host's route between your pickup and drop (times the seats you take) — the exact amount is shown before you join, and locked in when you're picked up. The host pays the rest.

Will the host take a detour to pick me up?

No — that's the point. Slizy only matches you to rides whose route already passes you: pickup, drop, direction, and ETA are all checked against the host's live route. The host never deviates; you walk to the route, not the other way around.

How do payments work?

Straight over UPI, rider to host — Slizy never holds your money. After the ride, the host requests your share, you pay in any UPI app with one tap, and the host confirms. Because we never touch the money, we can't reverse or refund a payment; sort disputes with the other rider first and report it to us if you can't.

I paid, but the host says it hasn't arrived.

UPI can lag a few minutes at peak. Share the UTR reference from your UPI app (it's attached automatically if you marked the payment as paid in Slizy) — that lets the host find it. If it's still missing after a few hours, raise a ticket below with a screenshot.

How does Slizy keep rides safe?

Profiles are verified (phone, and optionally work email), every ride ends with mutual ratings that show on future matches, and you see who you're riding with — name, photo, rating — before you join. Trust your gut: skip any ride that feels off, and in an emergency always call 112 first.

Can I cancel after joining a ride?

Yes — leave any time before you're picked up, at no cost. Hosts can cancel their ride too; everyone on it is notified immediately. Repeated no-shows and late cancellations hurt your rating.

What do ratings do?

After a ride is complete, the host and each picked-up rider rate each other — stars, quick tags, an optional comment. You have 7 days, you can edit your rating in that window, and your average shows on every future match so good co-travellers find each other.

How do I delete my account and data?

Write to hello@slizy.app from your registered contact and we'll delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. Ride history that other users depend on (like ratings) is anonymised rather than deleted.
